But this passage offers us something radically different: Jesus is not just a part of God or a good teacher, He is the exact image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, the one through whom and for whom all things were created. This means cancer must bow to Him, sickness must obey His word, and every unraveling circumstance in our lives is still held in His sovereign hands. The challenge before us is clear: will we look to Jesus for the God we need, or will we craft in our minds a god we want? When we truly see Jesus as the creator and sustainer of all things, the one who stepped off His eternal throne to become flesh and experience our brokenness, we discover a King whose love is limitless and whose grace is sufficient for every shattered moment of our lives.
