Undoubtably, there were many people who waited and anticipated the Messiah. They had hopes and expectations for him. And when he stepped out of Nazareth, they may have missed him. Maybe they looked another way because they were disappointed in who he really was. For many today, we might meet an entirely different Jesus if we lay down our expectations and demands of him. He may be profoundly more than we ever imagined.
