Bible Passage: Exodus 21-22
In Exodus 21-22, the Lord expands the law from only the 10 commandments. He introduces Israel to a portion of a civil law. In that law, we’re given important information on what we should do if our ox gores another’s ox and what to do if a neighbor allows his animals to graze our field.
Although some of these laws seem silly and irrelevant- the character of God is embedded in each of them. Because God preserved these pages in Scripture, we believe that there is something we can learn from them and push in to the character of God.
