I was born on the Virginia coast and was raised in a home that laid a path for me to see and know what it meant to follow Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I traded my coastal hometown for the mountains, and spent four wonderful years in Lynchburg, VA for college before moving to North Africa to serve with a Christian humanitarian aid organization for two years. In the midst of the transition overseas, I met a guy at a training conference who was headed to South America. About a thousand emails, (very) long distance calls, and around 24 months later we went on our first date in the US and the rest is history. That handsome man is now my husband of eleven years, Graham, and we share four wonderful, crazy, lovely children: Evelyn, Abigail, Selah, and Noah. When Graham decided to pursue theological education, we planted our life in North Carolina and, eventually, joined this little tiny group of people who wanted to plant a church in this little town we’d never heard of called Rolesville. It has been such a joy to see Exchange grow and change over the years, and now it is such a joy to serve its women.
/Hope for EC
My hope for Exchange is that we would be a people who are committed to being daily conformed into the image of Christ, and are, by the power of the Spirit, willing to lay aside whatever it takes to pick up the true and enduring beauty of a life surrendered to Jesus.
