Rick McKoy

I am so thankful and blessed to have grown up in a family that pointed me to Christ and a loving, caring church community that invested in me from the crib to college in Wilmington, NC. At the age of nine I decided to follow Christ. While attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, I met my wife, Beth, while we both were serving at YoungLife leaders. Shared ministry has been a major part of our marriage journey as we have poured ourselves into marriage ministry for over 25 years, mentoring, counseling, training, teaching and coaching couples. in the church and community. We are blessed to have 2 married children, Jana and Parker that have blessed us with 6 grandchildren. After working in a 37-year career in sales and human resource management for a major consumer products company, the Lord lead me into a new vocation as a licensed professional counselor. I went back to school and received a master of arts degree in professional counseling from Liberty University and now work in both mental health and Christian counseling settings. When I am not working, Beth and I love getting outdoors especially camping, hiking, exploring God’s creation, boating and especially spending time with our grandchildren.

/Hope for EC

My hope for Exchange is that we would be a community of believers that share a thirst for the Word of God, create an atmosphere of unity without uniformity, seek a dependence on the Spirit and enjoy the blessing of sharing the Greatest Story of all time with others.
