Faith is essential to the Christian life, and so is waiting. In our culture, we are simply not conditioned to wait for anything. Abram and Sarai find themselves with their backs against the wall as they get older, sadder, and more impatient as they wait for the promise. Genesis 16 teaches us the difference between self-effort solution and the solution of God's intervention.
We know through Scripture that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We also know that faith is hard. Circumstances, experience, and culture all seem to be at war against it. In our series, “Look To The Stars”, we follow the life of Abraham and how he finds faith in God. This series will encourage you in your own faith and knowing that even when we are faithless, God is faithful.
