Call to Prayer: Psalm 62:8

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Time of Gratitude

“Give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:20).

Take this time to give thanks to God for three (3) specific things from the last 24 hours.

Praying the Lord’s Prayer: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”

Lord, thank you for hearing us. Thank you that you don’t ask us to go places you haven’t already been on our behalf. The victory over sin and temptation isn’t ours to win. You’ve done that for us already through your life and work on the cross…bearing our sin and shame and calling us your own. You know the end, and you do not withhold any good from us, nor is any suffering or trial wasted to you. Thank you that when we walk through the waters of whatever this season looks like, you will be with us.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Scripture Reading from the Sermon Series: Acts 2:42-47

  1. What do you see about the worship of the church in this passage?
  2. How might God be calling you into obedience today?

Praying the Mission of Exchange: “Equip the People of God”

Ministry of the Church: Small Groups

Bless the small groups meeting this week at Exchange. Thank you for  the means to build community this way. Give the small group leaders fresh vision and excitement to shepherd those in their care. We confess that we are want to live life in isolation, so we ask you to help us live a life deeply dependent on you and the community of believers.

Commission to Serve the King:
Luke 12:32–34

Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
