Call to Prayer: Psalm 72:1, 17

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son! …. May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!

Time of Gratitude

“Give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:20).

Take this time to give thanks to God for three (3) specific things from the last 24 hours.

Praying the Lord’s Prayer: “Give us this day our daily bread”

We need your help, Jesus. Today we need your help as the world around us feels so broken. And the path set to our feet is more uncertain than ever. But you are the God who made us in our mothers’ wombs. You knew us before we were born. And you see us and know us now.  Our health is in your hands. The health of our families is in your hand. Thank you that we can place them back in your hands again today with confidence that you are good and you do good. We trust that you are providing what we need today. In your most gracious name, Amen.

Scripture Reading from the Psalms: Psalm 67

  1. How do you see the sovereignty of God in this passage?
  2. How might God be calling you into obedience today?

Praying the Mission of Exchange: “Extend the Love of God”

Need in the World to be Restored: War

We confess that we live in a world we do not understand. Help us take the time to lament that many of the things we hear about and see going on around the world are so deeply broken and sad. We ask you to be the God of All Peace in the world you made today. Our Conquering King, would you make all things new, that governments and armies would bow their knees and their agendas to you. Jesus, we ask for wars to cease and peace to flourish in all corners of the earth.

Commission to Serve the King:
Colossians 3:16–17

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
