Call to Prayer: Psalm 56:13

For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.

Time of Gratitude

“Give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:20).

Take this time to give thanks to God for three (3) specific things from the last 24 hours.

Praying the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father who are in Heaven, Hallowed by thy Name”

Who in Heaven can be compared to you, God? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to you, Lord? Truly, who in heaven do we have but you? And on earth who is your equal? In every single way that counts, you are not like us. You are complete when we are broken. You are constant while we are tossed about by the emotion and circumstance of this present moment. Thank you that you never change, and that in your case that’s a very good thing. We love you. Amen.

Scripture Reading from the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 30

  1. How do you see the sovereignty of God in this passage?
  2. How might God be calling you into obedience today?

Praying the Mission of Exchange: “Enjoy the Glory of God”

Attribute of God to Praise: God is Life

God, thank you that you are the creator of life. Thank you that you created all that we see and all that we ourselves are. Remind us that you are still in the work of bringing life to dead places, and that nothing is impossible for you. We pray that we would be a people who are easily able to see our Maker at work around us, bringing beauty from ashes, and life from death.

Commission to Serve the King:
Romans 6:13–14

Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
