Call to Prayer: Psalm 119:28

My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word!

Time of Gratitude

“Give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:20).

Take this time to give thanks to God for three (3) specific things from the last 24 hours.

Praying the Lord’s Prayer: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”

Lord Jesus, you say in your word that if we love you we will follow your commands. You say that if we are your people we will hear your voice and obey. Build in us a reflex to be quick in our response of “Yes Jesus!” when you lead us. Help us to know your Word deeply so we can recognize your voice easily and follow it faithfully  To know you is to love you, Lord. And we desire to know you in Spirit and in Truth.  In your most gracious name, Amen.

Scripture Reading from the Sermon Series: Acts 2:42-47

  1. How do you see the church as a sacrificial community in this passage?
  2. How might God be calling you into obedience today?

Praying the Mission of Exchange: “Equip the People of God”

Ministry of the Church: Men’s Ministry

Thank you for the men of Exchange. Thank you that you are working out a story of redemption and beauty in these men of God. We pray our men will know their worth comes not from what they do or cannot do, but from their identity as a son and coheir with Christ.

Commission to Serve the King:
1 Peter 5:8–9

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
