This Week: Summer Groups // Celebration of the King // Weekly Calendar // New Sermon Series // This Week @ Exchange
We are excited to announce the Summer Groups for 2020. These groups are a great way to connect with others outside your small group while studying specific areas of Scripture and the Christian life.
We know planning for the summer is uncertain right now, but we will be flexible and see what God has in store. Hopefully we can meet together, but we may explore online options if needed. Click the link below to see what groups are available so far and register now!
New Devotional Guide
Celebration of the King is a new devotional guide written by Exchange Church members. It focuses on the Sovereignty of God and the reign of Christ, focused on Jesus’s ascension and the sending of the Spirit at Pentecost. It may seem to be a strange time to focus on the sovereignty of God, but perhaps this is the most appropriate time. The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered everything about our lives. It has isolated us from one another and made us rethink who is in control of the world around us. Although we knew it in our hearts before, this crisis has vividly reminded us that things are not as they should be.
Yet, followers of Christ are not without hope. We are forgiven and have the promise of eternal life through Jesus’s death and his resurrection. His ascension declares that he is reigning over the world. And the sending of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost reminds us that God is with us.
Therefore, no matter what you are going through today, take heart in knowing that Jesus is King and has overcome the world (John 16:33). He has gone before you, and he loves you.
We want to help keep you connected to Exchange even though our regular schedule has changed. This calendar lists some of the events going on. Several are live interactions on Facebook or Zoom. Be sure to add these to your personal calendar and check https://exchangenc.org/ec-at-home/ for other updates and resources.

JOSEPH: Living a Life of Faith in the Unknown
This year we have studied the messy life of Jacob and his family. But the story continues in the book of Genesis! Genesis 37–50 tells the story of God’s faithfulness to his promises and his people. God’s faithfulness is displayed to (and through) Joseph as he chooses to live a life of faith in the midst of difficult circumstances. As we continue our study of God’s Word this Sunday, the story of Joseph will challenge us to all live a live of faith in the unknown.
